Fall 2008 Registration Information for Religious Studies Graduate Students

Registration
Registration for the fall 2008 semester will begin on Monday, April 14th.  You can view your registration status on Albert under the "Registration" tab.  Please make note of any stops you may have as these will need to be removed before you will be able to register.  If you have any stops, you must contact the appropriate office to have the stop removed.  If you are uncertain who to contact to have a stop removed, please contact the department administrator at (212) 998-3756 or via email at religious.studies@nyu.edu and he can direct you to the appropriate office.

Course Offerings
Course listings will be available on Albert beginning on Monday, March 10th.  This is the most up-to-date listing of courses being offered by the Religious Studies Program.  Any information found on Albert supersedes information available on this website.  A printable listing of course offerings and descriptions is also available from the religious studies website at the following link: Fall 2008 Graduate Course Schedule. 

Courses Offered by Other Departments
As always, I encourage you to look for courses in other departments as well.  I strongly recommend that you email the professor or department offering any courses that you are interested in taking to make certain there are no language requirements or prerequisites that you may be unaware of.  If you find any courses that you are interested in, please email the department administrator at religious.studies@nyu.edu to discuss their appropriateness for your course of study in the program.

If you find any courses that you believe may of interest to other religious studies graduate students, please email the department administrator about them.  It is the program's hope to begin a list of relevant courses being offered by other department to be posted on this page for other students to view.

Registration Advising
You are not required to meet with an advisor prior to registration; however, you are strongly encouraged to discuss your course selection with either a faculty member whom you are familiar with or the department administrator.  If you would like to setup an appointment, please contact the department administrator at (212) 998-3756 or via email at religious.studies@nyu.edu.
